How the index is computed
What the score measures
Every data point comes from an automated VisibAI audit that asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Mistral and You.com industry-tailored questions and measures how often the audited business appears in the answers. The result is a score from 0 to 100: higher means the business is mentioned, cited or recommended more consistently.
Which audits count
Each domain counts once: only its most recent completed audit enters the index. Audits without a stated industry are excluded, and so are internal test audits and audits of VisibAI itself. An industry appears only when at least 10 distinct audited domains belong to it; smaller industries are left out entirely rather than shown on thin data.
Freshness
The current snapshot was computed on 23 August 2026 and covers 637 audited domains across 25 industries, out of 761 unique audited domains in total. A new snapshot is computed daily.

What does an AI visibility score measure?
An AI visibility score is a number from 0 to 100 that measures how consistently a business appears in AI-generated answers from assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini when people ask about its market. A higher score means the business is mentioned, cited or recommended more often in those answers.
How is the index computed?
Each website counts once: only the most recent completed audit per domain enters the index. Audits with no stated industry are excluded, and so are internal test audits and audits of VisibAI itself. An industry appears only when a minimum number of distinct domains have been audited in it, and the top issues show the percentage of audited sites in that industry affected by each issue.
Is any individual website identifiable in the index?
No. The index publishes only aggregated statistics: industry averages, sample sizes and issue frequencies. No domain, brand or URL is ever named, and the minimum sample size per industry prevents any single site from being inferred from an average.
How often is the index updated?
A new snapshot of the index is computed once a day from the full audit dataset. The page always shows the date the current snapshot was computed and how many audited domains it covers.
Why is my industry not listed?
An industry is listed only once enough distinct audited domains belong to it; the minimum sample size is shown on the page. If your industry is missing, not enough businesses in it have run an audit yet. Running a free AI visibility audit adds your industry to a future snapshot, in aggregate and anonymously.
What is a good AI visibility score?
Most audited websites currently score below 50 out of 100, so AI visibility is still an open field in nearly every industry. A score above your industry average means AI assistants already surface you more often than a typical competitor; a score below it usually signals fixable issues such as blocked AI crawlers, missing FAQ content or missing structured data.
